At today’s School Board rule development, the Orange County School Board reviewed IHAM, JJ, JFABB and JFABC policies. The also conducted a work session related to public input at board meetings.
Members of the school board received a detailed presentation from the Offices of Legal Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Athletics and Student Enrollment. The board reviewed changes that include content, formatting and terminology edits and statutory updates to the following policies:
IHAM – Local School Wellness
JJ – Extracurricular Activities
JFABB – Foreign Exchange Students
JFABC – International Student Admission

In the work session, the board discussed Board Policy BEDH – Public Input at School Board Meetings. It will continue the public input pilot. In Phase 3, the board will begin non-agenda public comment at 4 p.m. The board will begin their scheduled meeting at 5:15 p.m. Speakers will have online access to register prior to the meeting.
