Oct. 1 – Oct. 12 as Disability History and Awareness Weeks. The designated weeks will include instruction for students in how they should properly treat individuals with disabilities in society and increase attention to prevent bullying or harassment of students with disabilities; encouragement to individuals with disabilities to develop self-esteem, resulting in more individuals with disabilities gaining pride, obtaining postsecondary education, entering the workforce & contributing to their communities while reaffirm the commitment to the full inclusion of and equal opportunity for all individuals with disabilities. 

OCPS invites you to join in our Act 4 Change campaign to stop bullying now. The commitment of parents and community members is vital to developing and sustaining effective prevention programs. All members of the Orange County Public School community have the right to enjoy a safe and healthy environment where cooperation and positive interactions are expected, people are valued, and property is respected.
