Board conducts work session (Oct. 3, 2023)
At today’s School Board work session, the Orange County School Board reviewed IHAM, JJ, JFABB and JFABC policies.
Members of the school board received a
detailed presentation from the Offices of Legal Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Athletics and Student Enrollment. The changes include content, formatting and terminology edits and statutory updates to the following policies:
IHAM – Local School Wellness
JJ – Extracurricular Activities
JFABB – Foreign Exchange Students
JFABC – International Student Admission

Effective Date – Upon Board approval
The board also discussed extending the pilot program before revising to
Board Policy BEDH – Public Input at School Board Meetings. For Phase 2, they will adjourn the consent agenda portion of the board meeting and then continue with non-agenda public comment.
