At today’s work session, the Orange County School Board reviewed the use of surplus funds policy, student records and a social media policy for school board members.
  
Revisions to the existing DFAA - Use of Surplus Funds policy language include content, formatting and terminology edits consistent with the Florida Administrative Code. 
 
The Chief Financial Officer answered questions related to the policy. View the presentation

The board also reviewed JRA – Confidentiality of Student Records policy. Revisions to the existing policy language include content, formatting and edits necessary for statutory compliance. 
 
Additionally, the board members discussed developing a social media policy or accepted norms for school board members.
 
The General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel answered questions related to the policy and possible addition of a new policy. Watch the work session to see the full discussion.
